1. About LABEL

LABEL (Lux Afro-Black Excellence Leaders) is a non-profit community organisation and platform dedicated to connecting, celebrating and empowering African, Caribbean and Black communities in Luxembourg. The platform is operated by Label – Lux Afro-Black Excellence Leaders a.s.b.l., registered in Luxembourg under R.C.S. Luxembourg F14269.

2. Acceptance of terms

By joining the community as a member, submitting a business listing, posting an event, contributing a story, or otherwise engaging with the platform's features, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, please refrain from using the platform.

3. Membership

Community participation is open to individuals identifying with the African, Caribbean and Black diaspora in Luxembourg, as well as allies who support our mission.

• You must provide accurate information when registering
• You must be at least 16 years of age to register online yourself — the age at which Luxembourg law allows you to consent to the processing of your data under the GDPR
• If you are under 16, or joining as a participant in our youth programming (ages 12–29), you join through your parent or legal guardian: registration is submitted by the parent/guardian, whose consent covers your participation
• You are responsible for keeping any credentials confidential and may not share your membership with others
• LABEL reserves the right to suspend or terminate participation that violates these Terms

4. Business directory listings

Submissions to the directory must represent authentic businesses from the African or Caribbean diaspora in Luxembourg.

• All information submitted must be accurate, truthful and up to date
• LABEL reviews submissions and may decline or remove listings that do not comply with these Terms or our community values
• LABEL does not verify or endorse any business listed on the platform
• Basic listings are free of charge; premium options, where offered, may involve fees that are always clearly communicated in advance

5. Events

Event submissions should serve the African, Caribbean and Black community in Luxembourg. LABEL reserves the right to decline events that do not align with our community values. Event organisers remain solely responsible for the legality, safety and execution of their events, including any ticketing handled through third-party platforms such as Eventbrite.

6. Community stories & content

Contributors to our stories and blog must submit original work. Content must not infringe the intellectual property rights of others, and must not be defamatory, discriminatory or misleading. By submitting content, you grant LABEL a non-exclusive licence to publish it on the platform and in our communications, with credit to you.

7. Community standards

This community runs on respect. The following conduct is prohibited:

• Harassment, discrimination or abuse of any community member
• Spam, deceptive practices or impersonation
• Sharing harmful, illegal or inappropriate material
• Any violation of Luxembourg or EU law

Breaches of these standards may result in immediate removal from the platform and our community spaces — including the WhatsApp community — without notice.

8. Intellectual property

LABEL owns its branding, design and original material published on the platform. Contributors retain ownership of the content they submit, while granting LABEL a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on our platform.

9. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by Luxembourg law, LABEL accepts no responsibility for inaccuracies in listings, transactions between users and businesses, loss of data, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. LABEL is not a party to, and remains uninvolved in, any transaction between community members and listed businesses.

10. Third-party links

The platform links to external sites and services — including Eventbrite, WhatsApp, social media and members' business websites. LABEL is not responsible for the content, practices or policies of those third parties.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Any dispute arising from them falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Luxembourg.

12. Changes to these terms

LABEL may modify these Terms at any time. Registered members will be notified of substantial revisions by email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
